Okutoyi win doubles title ahead of tomorrow’s W25 singles final

Angela Okutoyi paired well with Sada Nahimana to win the doubles title at the ongoing W25 tennis tournament before winning in the semifinals to qualify for tomorrow’s singles match

The Kenyan Okutoyi and Burundi’s Nahimana won 6-4, 6-4 to become the first-ever Kenyan to win the title after defeating Jessie Aney (USA) and Lena Papadakis (Germany) in the doubles final to win 6-4, 3-6, 10-7 and clinch the W25-Nairobi women’s doubles title.

At the same time, she made history as the first Kenyan to make it to the final of a W25 tournament in the tournament when she will face off with Germany international Lena Papadakis.

She defeated French Lucie Nguyuyen Tan in the first semifinal to book Papadakis, who beat at the finals.
