Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga netted his 22nd goal and ten men Al Duhail fell to Al Rayyan during the semifinals of Amir Cup.
The former Kashiwa Ryesol striker netted the 19th goal in the 2020/21 season even as the lost 2-1 to Al Rayyan on Monday night.
Xavi Hernandez-coached Al Sadd dethroned Al Duhail in the 12-team league after amassing 60 points and bagging the title unbeaten as Al Duhail finished 13 points behind in second place.
Dame Traore put Al Rayyan ahead in the 13th minute before Yacine Brahimi added a penalty just before the hour mark and Olunga scored a consolation in the 81st minute.
Al Duhail were forced to complete the game with ten after Almoez Ali was red-carded.
