Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga’s team Al Duhail defeated the newly promoted side Al Markhiya in the Qatar Star League played today.
The Khalifa International stadium encounter saw the hosts win by a solitary goal courtesy of Nam Tae-Hee scored in the 54th minute.
But Olunga, the reigning golden boot winner has scored one goal since the league started in the 4-2bwin against Al Wakrah, failing to score in the one-all draw against Al Ahly Doha and 2-1 win over Al Rayyan as the team remained unbeaten in the four matches.
Following their victory, the Hernan Crespo coached side have moved from 7th to 3rd on the table with seven points, same as second-ranked Al Wakrah, while Markhiya are down from eighth to ninth on four points from four matches.
