Omae and Mosin lead Kenyans in sweeping Gifu half marathon podium

Dolphine Nyaboke Omare and Patrick Mosin were the winners of the 2026 Gifu half marathon held yesterday in Japan by sweeping the podium.

The Kenyans, in women took top three positions when Omare won the title in 67:04 followed by Janeth Nyiva Mutungi in 67:06 then Agnes Mwikali Mutuku (67:24) clearing the podium as Winnie Jepkosgei Kimutai coming in 4th after clocking 68:31.

Virgina Nyambua (68:31) was 5th and Gladys Chepkurui came 6th in 69:07.

In men, Mosin led a contingent of Kenyans win taking top ten positions.

He won the race in 60:35 ahead of Boniface Mulwa and Geoffrey Toroitich Chumba after clocking 60:36 and 60:37 respectively.
