Fresh from winning his maiden Diamond League 100m title, reigning Commonwealth Games 100m champion Ferdinand Omurwa Omanyala will be chasing another win at the in Andorf, Austria during the International Josko Running Meeting in the European nation on Saturday night.
Omanyala won the Monaco Diamond League title becoming the first Kenyan for the title in the race when he clocked 9.92 by beating World Under-20 champion Letsile Tebogo from Botswana.
“I thereafter plan to head straight to the national team’s pre-Olympics training camp in Miramas to spruce up for the job that awaits me in Budapest,” Omanyala said.
Omanyala said he will not be navigating unfamiliar seas in Austria, where he proved his mettle and basked in glory two years ago.
