A knee injury has forced kenya Under 20 player Nathan Tsindoli ahead of Junior Rugby World Trophy Tour that starts on Saturday at Nyayo Stadium.
In the place of Tsindoli, Edmund Omondi has taken up the position in the two weeks tournament after team manager Peter Mutai saying that Tsindoli is the perfect replacement.
“It’s a blow for him. We detected the injury over the weekend and we have brought in a replacement who we believe will be an asset to the team,” noted Mutai.
Omondi can play either lock or flanker and plies his trade for Quins. The rest of the 28-man squad remains unchanged
He said competition for a place in the squad is quite high with two training sessions left before the match on Saturday.
Chipu will also face Spain on July 15th before concluding their preliminaries against Hong Kong China on July 25 in Pool B. Pool ‘B’ features Scotland, the USA, Uruguay, and Zimbabwe. The final is slated for July 30.
