Kenyan boxers led by Commonwealth Games flyweight bronze medalist Christine Ongare and national bantamweight champion Elizabeth Akinyi failed to shine in their opening bouts at the Konstantin Korotkov Memorial International Boxing Championships in Russia.
Ongarea dn Akinyi who have already qualified for Olympic Games set for Tokyo, Japan lost their opening bouts to Diana Gorishnaya of Estonia Maria Moronto of Dominican Republic respectively.
