Harambee Stars defender Joash Onyango played 90 minutes as his new club Simba won their opening match as Tanzania Premier League kicked off on Sunday.
The former Gor Mahia defender was determined as Simba defeated Ihefu FC 2-1 in a match pyated at Sokoine stadium in Mbeya.
John Bocco scored the first goal with just ten minutes into the start whistle before Omary Mponda levelled for Ihefu in the 14th minute but Yassin Mzamiru netted the winner in the 52nd minute to collect maximum points.
It was a good start for Onyango who has signed a three contract with Tanzanian giants.
