Oyende overtakes Amuke to lead ECASA as Kenyans dominate

Grand Master Allan Oyende has overtaken former Scrabble Kenya chairman Bernard Amuke on the leaderboard of the ongoing East, Central and Southern Africa Scrabble Championships Association (ECASA) in Nairobi, Kenya.

The top Kenyan player has recorded 16 wins, losing 3 in day two of the championships to edge out day one leader Amuke.

With the three days tournament coming to an end tomorrow, much focus will be on Kenya as they seek to defend their title won last year in Zambia.

Currently, Kenyans occupy top five positions with Oyende on top followed by Amuke in second, Michael Gongolo completing the podium as David Kimani and Richard Okechi completes top five Kenyans.

Sole Ugandan Lawrence Onyoin comes in 6th position with other Kenyans Bernard Koyyoko, Patrick Litunya, Onani Magwanga coming in 9th as Zambian Fred kanshamba completes top ten positions.
