Cricket Kenya elections set for this Saturday has attracted three aspirants for the posts of chairman.
In a letter from the CK Independent Electoral Panel chairperson Kenneth Wayne Mutuma, that will be conducting the elections addressed to all Cricket Kenya Stakeholders, has revealed the four persons to go for top seat.
The circular read in part: ‘General Communiqué A notice for the election was sent out on 19th January, 2022. On 17th of February, 2022, Nominations were received for the posts of Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer, Director, Women’s Cricket and County Associations Representative. A verification process was undertaken to ascertain the credibility and eligibility of the aspiring candidates.”
Among those vying for top posts are Manoj Narshi Patel, Tariq Iqbal and Chidamabaran Swaramanian.
The vice chairman posts has attracted also attracted two individuals who are Thomas Odoyoa and Maina Kiruma Karama.
Peter D’ Costa will be vying for Treasurer’s post and will be battling with Kalpesh Solanki.
Pearlyne Omamo will be going for Director, Women’s Cricket while Kennedy Otieno Obuya will be contesting in the County Associations Representative
The circular also tasked the stakeholders that there will be a voter civic education program on Wednesday.
“Communication has been made to candidates that have been cleared by the IEP. Candidates not cleared have received communication on the same with reasons as to why they could not be cleared. We urge that all members abide by the code of conduct for the election.”
