Perfect Kenya lead Uganda at Victoria Cup in Limuru

It was a perfect start for team Kenya at this year’s Victoria Cup golf championship against Uganda on the par 72 Limuru golf club.

With Kenya leading in the wo rounds, they have taken a six-point lead over Uganda in day one ahead of tomorrow’s third round.

Kenya won the first round in the four better-ball with Adel Balala and Simon Mulama claiming the first against Joseph Kasozi and Michael Alunga 4/3.

John Lejirma and Daniel Kiragu were 4/3 winners against Ibrahim Bagalana and Dennis Asaba before Captain Dennis Maara and Mike Karanga shone over Godfrey Nsubuga and Tom Jingo 3/2. 

In other round, Njoroge Kibugu and Andrew Wahome beat Ugandan pair of Joseph Cwinyaai and Joseph Akena 1up.

In the afternoon, foursomes round, Bagalana/Jingo beat Kibugu/Wahome 3/2 but Maara/Karanga beat Alunga/Kasozi as Balala/Mulama won 2up against Mugisha/Nsubuga while Lejirma/Kiragu’s 3&2 ensured that Kenya goes into the second day with a healthy lead
