Philip Wokorach tops Kenya Cup scorers’ chart

Kabras Sugar’s Philip Wokorach still leads the table as top try scorer in the Kenya Cup that heads into play off in a week’s time.

The Ugandan international has scorede a total of 23 tries for the sugar millers, made 31 conversions, four penalties, for a total of 189 points.

The kakamega based club has only lost one match against Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) and leads the table ahead of KCB who gained automatic qualification into the play-offs.

Mwamba’s Collins Injera lies second with 105 points from 21 tries, no conversions and penalties as Impala Saracens’ Quinto Ongo completes the podium with 83 points from five tries, 14 conversions and ten penalties.

Evin Asena of Homeboyz is in 4th position with 75 points he gained from five tries, 16 conversions and six penalties followed in 5th by Blak Blad’s Allan Ominde who has 70 points from 4 tries, 10 conversions and penalties.

Nakuru’s Geoffrey Ominde sits in 6th place with 66 points following his single try, 20 conversions and 5 penalties and Strathmore Leos Andrew Matoka is in 7th positions with 65 points after scoring 3 tries, 7 conversions and 12 penalties.

KCB’s Darwin Mukidza, Derrick Keyoga (Menengai Oilers) and Kenya Harlequins’ Lyle Asiligwa are in positions 8, 9 and 10 with 64, 63 and 61 points from 2, 8, 0 tries, 15, 7 and 17 plus 8, 3, and 8 penalties respectively.
