Police beat Mashujaa as Gladiators draw against Exchequers

Strathmore Gladiators played out to a draw against visiting Ghana’s Exchequers in the ongoing Gold Cup club invitational hockey tournament.

The Meshack Senge coached side played out to a 2-all draw in Nairobi where Akaba Elorm scored first for Exchequers in the 23rd minute before Basil Wafula levelized for Gladiators in the 25^th minute for a 1-1.

Captain Akaba Elikem scored again to give visitors the lead and Noah Barasa equlaised for Gladiators as Richmond Attipo coached side walked away with the draw.

Following the draw, Exchequers lead the four-team tournament with 10 points followed by Police, who beat Mashujaa 3-2 on six points as Gladiators complete top three with four points and Mashujaa lies at the bottom with three.
