Promoted CUSCO play Black Stars as FKF Division Two whistles off

Newly promoted side Cambridge Universal College (CUSCO) will be facing Black Stars when FKF Division Two Western Zone B whistles off this weekend.

The Eldoret based team that the North Rift Region title with one loss, CUSCO will be chasing another title as they seek to be promoted next season.

With seven teams promoted, the Robert Akama managed side garnered 99 points in the 20 league team after losing to fellow promoted side West Indies by a solitary goal.

The Kenyatta stadium encounter in Kitale will be a litmus test for CUSCO who will be seeking their first win in the 4^th tier league with 23 teams.

As part of their plans to cement their good run, they have signed nine players in all areas to guide them win the title.

Speaking in his office, Akama said they have signed experienced players to guide them in title chase.

“This is a new level which comes with their challenges. Each level of the league calls for experienced players and has a different approach. This made us to sign more because we need the depth of the bench and starting line-up, which should be strong,” said Akama.

According to Akama, they signed Dickson Otieno (Migori Youth), Augustine Ochieng (Nairobi stima), Oliver Tambo (Eldoret Youth), Edward Otieno (Hema Moja), Jesse kiptoo (Tumkas), Denis Luyayi (Raiply), Leakey Lijude (Raiply), Reagan Wanjala (Eldoret City) and Eugene Wafula (Bungoma All Star).

However, he said there are teams that will make them sweat especially as new comers into the category. The experienced side include Kakuma, GFE 105, Langas Super Star, Chewoyet and Uasin Gishu United.
