Referee’s incompetence exhibited as Eldoret Youth, Kisumu AllStars share points

Kisumu All Stars came from a goal down to draw against Eldoret Youth in a National Super League (NSL) played today at Eldoret Show Ground.

Dennis Oalo of Kisumu All Stars cancelled out Joseph Oyugi’s goal in a one-all draw as referees incompetence was exhibited.

Oyugi scored first for the hosts in the 34th minute before Oalo leveled the score with his right foot shot from the edge of the box to cut shot Eldoret Youth fans celebration on the 36th minute.

Oalo capitalised on the fumbling Eldoret Youth goalkeeper Simon Wasike to level as he scored his 9th goal of the season.

Oyugi headed in, beating keeper Geoffrey Were as Oalo, who was fouled outside the danger box, stood behind the ball, shot into Wasike, who fumbled with the ball and rolled into the net.

Centre referee Benjamin Khayenje and his second lineman Timothy Oniditi failed the signal the goal, forcing Kisumu players to protest, he consulted match commissioner before awarding the goal luckily, Eldoret players did not protest the goal since the match had already started.

In other results, Ushuru continued with their unbeaten run with 2-0 win against Bidco United. Erickson Sadera scored a brace to maintain the taxman lead on the table with 29 points.

Six goals were scored in a 3-all scosre between Kibera Black Stars and Kenya Police. Julius Masaba broke the deadlock for Stars with just two minutes before David Oluoch levelled four minutes later. Shawn Odhiambo gave the hosts the lead in the 15th minute and Gregory Nyapala giving a 3-1 lead for Stars in the 20th minute.

But Stars lost concentration and David Kwasila reduced the deficit to 3-2 in the 48th minute before Robinson Omule levelled on 75th minute.
