John Barorot returned to his former club and send clear signals that he has not forgotten his roots when he won Resolution Insurance golf tournament today on nine hole Eldoret club.
As a former Captain, Barorot won by a single shot against Satwinder Mani Sagoo with 40 stable Ford points as Sagoo had 39.
Playing handicap 8, Barorot moved to VetLab played 19 points in the oitward nine before returning eith 21 points in the inward nine.
Barorot said the course was so good due to good maintenance and rain in the region that hold the ball on the greens.
“The course was so playable, thanks to Captain and green keeper for ensuring the high quality of the course,” said Barorot.
He added that his game has improved in recent days and a fortnight ago, he won the Crown paints golf on his new club, Vet Lab.
He beat Satwinder Mani Sagoo by a single shot to second position with 39 stable ford points.
Handicap 18 player played 21 points in the opening nine before adding 18 in the second to claim the second position.
Eldoret’s only professional golfer Boniface Simwa completed the podium on 38 points ahead of Sanjiv Gujral 37 points.
Ravi Shah garnered 36 points ahead of Nathan Tororei, Ishaan Nathaani and captain Moses Tanui on count back.
Satwinder was on the podiumagain to receive longest drive women as well James Waweru for men on hole 17 before George Njoroge took the nearest to the pin on hole 16.
First nine present was taken by Jackson Kiprono as second nine was won by Ishani Nathaani both on 20 points.
