Newly promoted side Western Bulls will be facing off with reigning National Sevens Series defending champions Homeboyz in pool A in the season opener next week in Kakamega.
Named the Bull-ring, Bulls who will be co-hosting the tournament with Kabras Sugar, will begin against Homeboyz will have an opportunity to defend their title in the first leg.
The two, Western Bulls and Homeboyz will open the campaign against Impala Saracens and Menengai Oilers.
Former champions Mwamba leads pool B as they will play Nondescripts, Nairobi University side Mean Machine and Kisumu RFC, who lost to newly promoted side Western Bulls in the final promotion play offs at the same venue.
Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) will be facing off with their rivals Kabras Sugar RFC, Kisii RFC and university side, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology MMUST).
Nakuru RFC is in Pool D alongside Kenya Harlequins, Strathmore Leos and Egerton university side The Wasps.
The relegated side Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad lead in Division 2 and will be playing Administration Police, Citam Kisumu and Shieywe.
Newly promoted side Northern Suburbs, Mbale RFC, KCA University and Nandi RFC form Pool ‘B’ while Catholic Monk, Kiambu RFC, Meru RFC and Vihiga Granite are in Pool ‘C’.
In Pool D has Makueni RFC, Eldoret RFC, Dagoretti Bulldogs and Bungoma RFC as Embu RFC, Webuye RFC, Nakuru KITI and Siaya RFC make up Pool E while Daystar Falcons, Stingers RFC, JKUAT and KCAA Stormers round up the Kakamega 7s’ Pool F.
