Returning Gateri, Ouma and champion Gohil top as Chess Kenya Championships

Returning into action after five years, Kenya Fide Masters Martin Gateri has shown his top talent at the ongoing Kenya National Chess Championships in Nairobi.

Gateri alongside Stephen Ouma and defending champion Mehul Gohil have sounded warning to their opponents in the five day event that kicked off today to 30th December with the champion set to drive home Mazda brand new vehicle in the Open Division while top woman will pocket kshs 100,000 trickling down to 10th finisher and the person living with disability will pocket kshs 10,000.

Gateri defeated Martin Mambo while Ouma was the winner against Armon Sein with Gohil beating Brian Kirwa.
