President Willaim Ruto has appointed Salim Mvurya as new Cainet Secretary in the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports, replacing Kipchumba Murkomen.
As one of the short serving CS in the docket, he was appointed on August 8 and he has been moved the Ministry of Interior and National Administration while Mvurya, who has also been in the ministry of Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs will take charge.
Ruto has so far appointed three CSs in the ministry after sacking Ababu Namwamba, replacing with Murkomen now Mvurya.
He now has a task to oversee the ongoing projects as Kenya prepares to host CHAN scheduled for February 1 to February 28 next year. The event will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
