Sammy Ndung’u emerges top at LSK golf tourney in Nakuru

Handicap 19 golfer Sammy Ndung’u was the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) inter-branch golf tournament on Nakuru golf club on Saturday.

Playing on home ground, Ndung’u fired 39 stable ford points to claim the title after he sunk 21 and 18 points in each nine.

He beat S. Wachira with a point to second place. Handicap 13 Wachira played 38 points beating Njukuna Njoka (05) on countback for podium positions.

Felistah Njeri was the lady winner on 34 points as Jenifer Mugweru on 36 points was the LSK advocate winner followed by Kisilah Gor (32) and David Ikua on 31 points.

S Gachiu and Mary Kiruthi were the senior man and woman winner on 34 points apiece. On 32 points, Trevor Hungi was the junior champion with Murtaza Mussaji and Kemboi Kiprotich were the first and second nine winners with 20 and 23 points respectively.

Luther Kamau was the lowest gross winner with 32 Gross as Gor returned to the podium with nearest to the pin prize as Eleanor Wambui and P. Muhia were the longest drive winners for lady and men respectively.
