School have taken centre stage in the North Rift branch Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom finals set for this weekend at the University of Eldoret and Marura secondary.
Girls’ schools are the only ones competing in the championships led by defending champions Plateau Girls as five sub branches of Nandi North and South, Uasin Gishu, and Keiyo and Marakwet.
The Uasin Gishu Sub branch champions will be hosting Itigo girls from Nandi North in the first encounter before playing again in the reverse fixture at Marula primary school grounds in pool B.
Keiyo’s Kaptagat girls leads pool A and will play Father Mair girls from Nandi North before completing the day with Santa Maria girls from Marakwet.
In boys category, the tournament one school, the 2018 Rift Valley Secondary Schools finalists Chemase Youth at the university of Eldoret ground.
Chemise leads pool B and will play Kapsowar Youth before facing in two matches. But hosts Tumkas, who edged out defending champions Mwiruti at the Uasin Gishu county will lead pool A that has Kitany Youth from Keiyo and Keyodester of Nandi South while Chemase from Nandi North leads pool B alongside Kapsowar Youth from Marakwet.
Tumkas will open the challenge against Kitany Youth before playing Keyodester in the afternoon at UOE grounds.
Winners in each pool will face each other at the final match on Sunday at the same venues.
