Shabana FC head coach Gilbert Selebwa has resigned as the coach for the National Super League (NSL) side.
According to Daily Nation, Selebwa resigned due to financial crisis at the club.
Selebwa submitted his resignation letter to the club’s management on Monday and cited three months salary arrears as his reason for leaving.
Selebwa joined the former Kenyan Premier League (KPL) giants last season when they won promotion to NSL from National Division One
Assistant coach Vincent Nyaberi, who joined the club this season after Andrew Kanuli moved to KPL side Nzoia Sugar, takes over in caretaker role. He will be in charge during Wednesday’s league match against Vihiga United at Gusii Stadium
