Kariobangi Sharks and newbies Kenya Police picked maximum points in today’s Kenya Premier League matches.
Sharks, were 3-1 winners against 13-time champions AFC Leopards while Police defeated 2008 champions Mathare United 2-1.
At Kasarani, Sharks moved to third position with the victory with 24 points with 14 matches played while the losers dropped to 14th on 14 points despite coming from a goal down. Eugene Mukangula scored the opener for Leopards in the 15th minute but Julius Masaba restored the parity with his goal then Felix Oluoch anf Erick Mmata were on target for the Sharks.
At Ruaraka, Police came from a goal down to beat Mathare 2-1. Damson Kago scored first for Mathare in the 20th minute and Duke Abuya leveled in the 50th minute and Clifford Miheso easily converted from the spot.
The win has seen Police move to 9th position on 19 points from 14 matches while Mathare remains 17th.
