Muthaiga’s Shashwat Harish managed to maintain the lead to win the Inaugural North Rift Junior Open at the par 72 Nandi Bears golf Club.
With six over today, the score propelled Harish to the top in a tournament, which count to the Junior Golf Foundation (JGF) Order of Merit and World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) Points.
After taking the lead in the first and second round, Harish managed to win the title after firing ten over par 226 with 71, 77 and 78.
After taking second position in round two, home Player Phelix Cheruiyot was dropped to third with the reigning Kenya Junior Matchplay Champion from Sigona’s Tsevi Soni with +23 239, moved to the second position after five under par 75.
