Shujaa fall to Canada and Wales in Malaga Openers

Shujaa, the national sevens rugby team lost the opening match to Canada and Wales at the Malaga sevens meeting at the Estaddio Ciudad in Spain today.

Kenya fell to Canada 19-17 before losing to Wales 14-19 in the open9ng two matches as they await to take on France tomorrow.

In the first match, returning Vincent Onyala touched down first for Shujaa and Canada’s Cooper Coats scored a converted try 7-5 lead Josiah Morra added the second try for 12-07 lead with Alex Russell third try to seal victory.

After water break, Kenya 7s Onyala landed his brace for 10 points as Johnstone Olindi put Nelson Oyoo who raced on for the third try of the game and Levy Amunga converted for a full time 19-17 loss as they await Wales at 6pm.
