Kenya sevens team Shujaa lost their opening match against Argentina at the Cate Town sevens in South Africa.
The Damian MGrath coached side lost 19-5 to the South Americans who have won the past four encounters dominated possession and territory and scored the opener.
Fast-paced Fraga caused Kenya a lot of problems and scored the second try two minutes later with Tobias Wade converting for a 12-0 lead.
Shujaa briefly had possession but could not find a way past the resolute Argentina defence which stood firm as they led 12-0 at the interval.
On resumption, Dennis Abukuse crashed over the line for an unconverted try and a 12-5 lead in favour of Argentina as Kenya looked to level the encounter.
Argentina had the final say in the final minutes with Manuel Molinuevo sealing the win for the Pumas with the final try which was converted by Alejo Lavayen.
Shujaa’s next match will be against powerhouses New Zealand on Saturday at 10:07 am with their final pool match against Spain at 3:26 pm
The top two teams in each pool will qualify for the Main Cup quarterfinals slated for Sunday.
