Shujaa, the rugby 7s men’s team finished third at the concluded Montevideo SVNS 2 series in Uruguay over the weekend.
The Kevin Wambua coached side defeated their hosts Uruguay 22-12 to finish third, the same position they finished in the opening round in Kenya.
As Kenya comes third, the USA won the title with a 29-5 victory over Germany to take the standing with 15 points as Germany placed second with 12 points, while Kenya concluded their campaign with 11 points.
After the conclusion of the two legs, Kenya remains in third position overall with 32 points as USA leads at the top followed by Germany with 38 points each.
Uruguay comes 4th with 28 points, Canada and Belgium tied on 22 points in fifth and sixth respectively.
Focus now shifts to the third and final round at the São Paulo leg in their push for qualification to the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.
