Shujaa to face Zimbabwe in semis after Faso victory at Africa 7s

Shujaa, the Kenya 7s team will face off with hosts Zimbabwe in the semifinals of the ongoing Africa Men’s 7s tournament in Harare, Zimbabwe.

The Kevin Wambu coached side edged out Burkina Faso 26-0 in the first main cup quarterfinal to book hosts who edged out Madagascar 26-12.

Patrick Odongo’s unconverted try handed Kenya 5-0 lead against Faso before taking a man advantage when John Okoth madea brace of tries with Kevin Wekesa scoring the 5^th try and Beldad Ogeta for another five-pointer. The two-time Olympians then attempted a last-minute finish, but it was unsuccessful, and the full-time score was 26-0.

The Kenyans will be looking to pick up maximum wins to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
