Robinson Owiti and Edwin Mudanyi will be taking on Sigona Bowl golf tournament, the opening meeting of Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) at par 72 Sigona Golf Club this weekend.
The golfers will play 54 holes on the two day event, starting with 36 holes on Saturday before ending with 18 on Sunday.

Coming from Vet Lab golf club, the duo who paired two weeks ago to defend the Nairobi District Foursome golf tournament at Muthaiga, will be taking on other top amateur golfers in the 19 leg series that will conclude at Nyali Open in December.
Owiti, the former national team captain missed last year’s event due to personal commitments said this weekend he will be taking head as he tries to win the overall title.
“I will be trying my best come weekend and probably win the title,”” said Owiti.
Mudanyi, the overall KAGC defending champion said he is well prepared for the event and targeting at least five wins in all competitions to defend the title.
“I have plans of defending my overall title and I need a minimum of five wins to enable me take home the title,” said Mudanyi.
He added that he wants to start a year with a bowl win.
“Sigona has been good for me and my games belongs to Sigona. I want to take that bowl at home. It is a good thing to start a year with a win,” he added.
But they have to deal with Sigona Bowl champion John Karichu. The Limuru country club member shot five over 221 in the two day event. He started with two over 74 in the first round before playing one over on the second round on the opening day, on the last day he produced a sterling performance shooting two over 74 to emerge victorious.
