Soafapaka came from a goal down to down Shabana fc to clinch the Jamhuri Day Cup in a match played at Camp Toyoyo grounds on Wednesday.
The Kenya Premier League (KPL)side, Sofapaka won 3-1 against National Super League champions Shabana after Francis Oduor broke the deadlock for Shabana.
But experienced Stephen Waruru leveled for Sofapaka into break as substitute John Avire scored the second and Michael Oduor netted the winner for the 2009 KPL champions.
Oduor curling the ball beyond Richard Aimo after the ball landed on his path un markedon the left on 24th minute as Waruru converted from the spot after Piston Mutamba was pushed from behind by Andrew Ongwae as he tried to control a ball.
Avire made his presence felt in the 63rdminute with a well powered header off an Oduor cross.
Onthe other end, Sofapaka keeper Aimo was forced to work, twice saving from Moses Arita and a free-kick from Ongwa.
Sofapaka though put the game to rest with nine minutes left when Asieche who had come on for Dennis Odhiambo engineered a super counter feeding off Oduor who took a one-time shot to beat Muthomi.
