Captain Elly Asieche scored a brace as Sofapaka, in their new home at Dawson Mwanyumba Stadium in Wundanyi, Taita Taveta County, Sofapaka defeated Western Stima 3-1.
Asieche struck a brace, while veteran Kepha Aswani scored the third in added time while goalkeeper Samuel Odhiambo scored Western Stima’s consolation goal.

At Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani, Elvis Rupia netted a brace as Leopards stunned newbies Bidco United 2-0.
The win made it two wins on the trot for Ingwe, who beat Tusker 2-1 at the same venue last weekend, in their opening match.
Rupia scored first in the 71st minute before cpompleting his brace in the 85th minute to accumulate points to six.
But former champions are still waiting for their maiden win after playing to a barren draw against Bandari.
The hosts, playing at Utalii Grounds lost the opening match 2-1 to Leopards last weekend, will still for a win.
Tusker picked their first point while Bandari increased their points to four.
