Sony Sugar and Kakamega Homeboyz were 2-0 winners in today’s Kenya Premier league (KPL) matches.
As former champions Ulinzi falls in Afraha as Tusker whip Mount Kenya in Machakos.
Salmon Omollo and Derrick Otanga were on target as hosts Sony Sugar were 2-0 winners against Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) in the mid week match played at Awendo stadium in the
Sony win against KCB, collected all seasonal points as sugar millers registered the second win against the bankers. In the first leg, Sony were 0-1 against KCB.
The win moved Sony to 6th with 45 points while KCB remained in the 11th position with 34 points in the round of 28.
In Sudi stadium, Kakamega Homeboyz won against Nzoia Sugar with similar score.
KPL top scorer Allan Wanga and David Odhiambo were the scorers as race for golden boot continues with wanga making it 17 goals as Umaru Kasumba who has been ruled out of competitions remains with 16.
The Kakamega based club now moves to 4th with 48 points as Nzoia remained 12th with 32 points.

Gerson Likono scored the lone goal to seal Posta victory to evade relegation.

The brewers came from a goal down to beat the bottom placed side. Amani kyata scored first for Mount Kenya in the 11th minute as Timothy Otieno equalized for the hosts as Justus Madoya scoring a brace for the hosts before defender David Majak.
