Sony win as Tusker, Ulinzi draw

Sony Sugar won their first match in the sugar derby against their hosts Nzoia Sugar in the second round of Kenya Premier League match played today at Sudi stadium.

Hosts was the first to score through Brain Webo but Salmon Omollo and Stephen Onyango salvaged Sony to collect maximum points.

It was the only win the league as former champions Mathare United played out to a one all draw against former champions Tusker at Machakos stadium.

Klinsman Omulanga came from the bench to salvgae a point for Mathare in th last minutes, cancelinmg out Timothy Otieno’s goal that was scored in the 73rd the point was a reprieve for Tusker who had sucked 5-2 in the hands of champions by Gor Mahia who are away to in the champions league against USM Alger and Mathare registered their second draw after 0-0 with Bandari in the opener.

In other results, 2009 champions Sofapaka held former champions Ulinzi to a barren draw at Afraha stadium as well as returnees Wazito holding Western Stima by similar score at Moi stadium, Kisumu.
