Harambee Starlets, the national women’s football team will start their 2024 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifiers (WAFCON) qualifiers against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses in the first round.
The match, which will be played between September 18-26 in Cameroon, Kenya will host the second leg where the winner of the two-legged fixture on aggregate will play Gabon or Botswana in the second round.
The winner of the second round will get automatic qualification for next year’s continental assignment to be held in Morrocco.
The second round, should Starlets progress, will be played between November 27 and December 5 this year.
The qualifiers will mark Starlets’ return to Caf competitions after Kenya’s lengthy suspension by Fifa from football.
