Alpha Onyango came off the bench to score the winning goal for reigning Kenya premier League champions Gor Mahia against former champions Sofapaka in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League match at Wundanyi Stadium, Taita Taveta.
Titto Okello fired the first salvo for Gor in the 27th minute after the kick-off as Titus Achesa levelled for Sofapaka in the ten minutes later as they went into break one-goal apiece.
With focus to defend their title as well as represent the country again at the CAF Champions league, Gor’s Onyango scored in the last minute for a 2-1 win.
