Teams to battle for Heroes Volleyball titles in Mosoriot

Top teams will be battling out at the 3rd edition of Heroes Volleyball Tournament that will be played this weekend at the Koitaleel Arap Samoei University in Mosoriot, Nandi County.

With estimated 50 teams set to battle in various categories, the event patron Paul Bitok said that the clubs have been divided into four- senior league, self-supporting or community teams, universities or colleges, primary and secondary schools.

“We want to end the tournament before 1 p.m,” he said Bitok who was accompanied by KVF’s president Charles Nyaberi.

Nyaberi said that they have been part of the event since it was inaugurated in 2021, praised the tournament and hosts that also serves as the training ground for the hundreds of players.

“We are also happy that Koitalel University played good hosts to the tournament as well as the training courses. We realized that Nandi is a rich source of talent, apart from athletics,” sid Nyaberi.

“This tournament is very indicative because it is in a talent-rich area and it helps expose some of the talents from the region so that they can be snapped up by other clubs. We are hoping they will grow and join the national team. The most important thing is to have as many people participating in the tournament. We also welcome fans,” said Nyaberi.
