Kenyatta University (KU) and will be chasing handball title against hosts at the Kenya Universities Sports Association (KUSA) national play-offs at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) grounds.
After losing the title to Strathmore University in 2019 at the finals, KU will have an opportunity to redeem their image after champions Strathmore were eliminated from the championships today morning.
In one of the finals before the final, KU toiled to beat Mount Kenya University (MKU) in one of the highly rated semifinals but their resilience worked in extra time to win 28-25 after a 20-20 draw in extra time.
JKUAT defeated The University of Eldoret (UOE) 25-20 to sail through.
In men’s volleyball Kisii University, which topped pool A will be facing off with KU, who were second in pool B while pool B leaders Strathmore take on the University of Nairobi in the second semifinal.
In women volleyball, pool A leaders KU will be playing pool B second finisher Strathmore as hosts take on UON.
Kenya National Roll Ball league champions JKUAT were on rampage, winning their opening match agaisnst Meru 5-0 as they plan to face St Paul’s University on Sunday.
