Christed as Home of champions due to its numerous training camps and athletes running across the world, Elgeyo Marakwet county has closed down all the training camps to curb Coronavirus.
In today’s circular Elgeyo Marakwet governor Alex Tolgos has ordered the closure of all training camps.
“Our athletes are our pride and in this county, we have several foreign athletics managers, agents, and the runners. We are closing the camps for 30 days with immediate effect,” Sang ordered.
