Scrabble Kenya search for points starts this weekend in Nyahururu ahead of World English Scrabble Players Association Championships (WESPAC), the scrabble World Cup set for next year in Las Vegas, USA and East and Central Africa Scrabble Association (ECASA) championships in Nairobi.
Kenya players who won silver at the Africa Scrabble Championships (ASC) in Lusaka, Zambia last month will be returning for the local scenes in search of points.
Scrabble Kenya Chairman Bernard Amuke said that top players will be in action as they chase the slots for global show.
In Nyahururu, top players especially those to make up Word Warriors, the national scrabble team will be aiming to improve on their board game.
Amuke said that heading to Nyahururu, they have to rectify on their mistakes they made as they head to a crucial encounter.
“There are a few things we learnt and heading to Nyahururu, we have to rectify before major championships,” added Amuke.
