Trinity Starlets maintained their unbeaten run as champions Kenya Police Bullets played to a draw against former champions Vihiga Queens in the Kenya Women Premier League matches.
Trinity won by 2-1 in a tough encounter when after coming from a goal down when Linda Kihara scored for kayole Starlets but Trinity responded when Muteshi leveled the score to 1-1 in the break.
Splendor scored the winning goal for the leaders.
Vihiga Queens managed to hold the league title holders to a barren draw to deny them a chance to move to second position in the league.
Bullets assistant coach Leonard Odipo, remained optimistic despite the stalemate, pointing to improved attacking play compared to their previous outing.
“We did have better chances today compared to the last game where we lost. We haven’t lost this game, and that’s a good sign,” Odipo said.
Vihiga Queens will now turn their attention to a midweek encounter against league leaders Trinity Starlets.
