Unbeaten Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) side the Hunters and Archibella were crowned the champions of Kenya Roll Ball Federation National League that came to an end on Sunday 25th.
The Hunters won all their matches to claim the men’s title while Archibella recorded similar scores to win the ladies titles with the league coming to an end at the Gretsa University courts in Thika.
In their final fixtures, JKUAT defeated Great Outreach Assemblies (GOA) men to amass 20 points from the 11 matches leading their counterparts Wolves to second position on 19 points. Wolves were 1-7 winners against Remnants men.
Recce with 18 points finished in third position with 10-03 win against GOA in the last match in the 12 team league.
Archibella were crowned the champions in ladies section following their 2-0 win ocer JKUAT Panthers on the final day. The champions accumulated 15 points, one better than Panthers with 14 while GOA Ladies completed the podium with 10 points in the nine league teams.
League coordinator Geoffrey Barasa said that next season is set to roll off next September and will run to March 2022 across the country.
“We are set to begin new season in September through to March next year. Congratulations to all teams and all the best as we open our transfer window from 1/8/2021 to 10/9/2021,” said Barasa.
He added that the awarding ceremony will be communicated soon. Teams are advised to honour their financial obligations immediately.
