Unopposed Kiguru to replace Omuodo as KGU chairman

Peter Kiguru is set to take over the reign of Kenya Golf Union (KGU) chairman’s post unopposed during the Annual general Meeting (AGM) set for May 28th at Muthaiga Golf Club.

The Sigona Golf Club’s member is set to take over from outgoing Ben Omuodo for the 2021/22 period.

Serving as the current vice chairman, Kiragu has remained unopposed at the polls following the deadline nomination on March 31st 2021.

He is expected to take over from Royal Club’s Omuodo who has served for past one year.

Kenya Airforce Golf Club George Gathu Ndirangu, now serving as union’s secretary has been nominated to serve as the vice chairman replacing Muthaiga Golf club’s Philip Ocholla, the Junior Golf Foundation (JGF).

Vet Lab’s Njani Nderitu will remain unopposed as the treasurer while others will battle for executive posts.
