“It was amazing and exciting being escorted into the palace.” This was the opening statement when three time Vienna marathon champion was welcomed into the Austria palace by president Alexander Van der Bellen.
Kiprop, who sealed Vienna City Marathon hat-trick on Sunday was invited to visit the state house on Monday afternoon by the head of state.

“It was amazing and exciting being escorted into the palace. It was a privilege that I have never received in my career. This is memorable,” said Kiprop.
The 2018 Paris half marathon champion won the race with a course record, setting her new personal best and sealing a hat trick in 2:22.12.
“After winning the race yesterday, the race director Wolfgang Konrad told me that I have been invited to state house, which I never believed until I made it today,” said kiprop.
