It is now official that the promotuion cum relegation play-off between former Kenya Premier League (KPL) side vihiga united and KPL debutants Kisumu Allstars has been suspended.
In a letter from Football Kenya Federation (FKF) the matches set to be played on 7th and 11th October will not happen.
The federation’s letter follows the guidelines released by the government through Sports ministry of Sports. The announcement by sports CS Amona Mohammed last week showed by football is a contact sport that is not ready to resume.
The battle between the two teams will be crucial as Vihiga wants to return to KPL while Kisumu will be hoping to remain in the top flight arena if they win on aggregate in the two matches.
FKF will reschedule new dates for the matches between vihiga united and Kisumu All Stars.
