Vihiga, Thika open a wide gap

Champions Vihiga Queens and Thika Queens continued with their superlative performance in the women premier league played today.

The unbeaten sides dominated against their opponents in the 9^th round of the league to take a convincing league.

In zone B, Vihiga opened a nine-point gap at the summit with a 2-0 win over Sep Ladies at Mumias Complex Tereza Engesha and Topister Situma all on target in the 8th and 42nd minutes.

The champions have collected 25 points from nine matches with Trans Nzoia Falcons.

In another zone B encounter, Oserian Ladies defeated Kisumu AllStarlets 1-0 with the lonely goal coming from Esther Kwamboka in the 86th minute to move to the 7^th position on eight points.

Thika Queens maintained their good run with, opening a 14 point gap with a 2-1 win over Gaspo Women at Ruiru grounds in Zone A while Ulinzi Starlets defeated Kayole Starlets 4-1 and Mathare United Women regieterd their maiden win over Kibera Soccer Ladies 2-1 while Makolanders and Zetech Sparks played to a 3-all draw.
