Kenya’s rally driver Maxine Wahome has been released on a cash bail after spending months in police custody.
Wahome, who has been accused of murdering her boy friend Assad Khan was released today by High court judge Lilian Mutende on a kshs 2 million bond with one surety of same amount
Mutende directed her to deposit her passport in court, not to travel out of the country without the court’s permission, not to interfere with witnesses.
“The prosecution did not advance any compelling reasons to warrant the court to deny her bond,” ruled Justice Mutende.
The case will be mentioned on April 19, 2023 to fix a hearing date
