Reigning world 10,000m silver medalist Stanley Waithaka Mburu and world under 20 5,000m bronze medalist Levy Kibet will be the favourite Kenyans at tomorrow’s Cross Internacional de Italica in Seville, Spain.
In men, Mburu and Kibet will be up against World 10,000m bronze medalist Jacob Kiplimo, defending champion Rodrigue Kwizera of Burundi.
In the women’s category, Africa 1500m silver medalist Purity Chepkirui will be keen to continue her stellar form from Atapuerca where she finished second behind fellow countrywoman, Commonwealth Games 5000m champion Beatrice Chebet.
Another Kenyan in contention is Nancy Jepleting who will be looking to pick up her second win of the World Cross Country Tour after shining in Zaragoza, Spain, last month.
