Western jaguars moved to second position on the table following their victory against former champions Kenya Police in today’s Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) league match played at the Eregi teachers Training College in Kakamega County.
Jaguars took home advantage to shine over Police 2-0 in the men’s league with goals coming in courtesy of Kelvin Michinji and Emmanuel Wiswa in the 13th and 52nd minute.
The Michael Malungu coached side has accumulated 24 points from 13 matches, six points behind defending champions and leaders Butali Sugar Warriors who have amassed 30 points from 12 matches so far.
The Patrick Mugambi coached side, Police said it was a tough loss away from home as they face United States International University Africa next tomorrow.
