Wilson Kipsang charged ahead of @BerlinMarathon

Supping 35km to 40km a day, former world marathon record holder Wilson Kiprotich Kipsang is building his formula to reclaim Berlin Marathon title set for in Germany.

Well known for flat course and breaking world records, the Berlin course has been a heaven for Kenyan runners to break world records.

Kipsang will be working his way to reclaim the title he lost to reignimng world marathon record holder Dennis Kimetto, whom they training together at Volare Sports in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

I will try my best to break the world record since it has staued for long,” said Kipsang who finished second at New York City Marathon last year behind three time world cross country champion Geoffrey Kipsang Kamworor.

The 2017 Tokyo marathon champion will be taking on the title holder and Olympic Games marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge.

I have run so many marathons and known how to run them. I believe I have the experience to win the race again,” aid the self declared King of marathon.

Kipsang broke the world record in 2013 by lowering Patrick Makau’s time of 2:03.38 to 2:03.23 before Kimetto brought it further down to 2:02.57 in 2014 on the same course.

“I have to run those many kilometres to gain endurance and stability in Berlin,” said the two time London marathon champion.

The former New York marathon champion holds the 2012 Olympic marathon silver medal when he finished behind Ugandan Stephen Kiprotich in the colonial masters land.

this year, Kipsang failed to defend his Tokyo marathon title that was won by Dickson Chumba.
