Football family is mourning the death of former Soafapaka player Wisdom Naya.
Naya, who has been battling with cancer since 2021, passed on today morning at the Kitale based hospital.
His mother Dinah Cherop confirmed that Naya after he visited Crystal Cottage Hospital in Kitale in Trans Nzoia County where he had gone for chemotherapy.
She said that he succumbed to complications from amputation of his left leg with the cancer spreading to his lungs and throat.
The former St Anthony’s Boys High School player joined Sofapaka in 2019 but was forced out of action by what doctors thought was a knee injury.
